Cant Install GLIMS for Safari on Snow Leopard. However, it came with a caveat that I can’t seem to find a solution to no. I know that you need run Safari in 32-bit mode to use it, but I cant even get it installed. The Glims installer just stays on 'Preparing.' forever. Click the "Add" button and scroll till you find the Startpage entry and drag it with your mouse to the top (you could also choose to uncheck all the other search engines)ħ.

Here is a quick and dirty list of things that I used to miss the most that make the Safari experience so much better now. Lets me add shortcuts and keywords like in FF. Glims is one of the most popular plugins ever made for Safari. Overnight, Apple prompted me to upgrade Safari again. It allows you to customize every little bit of your browser, like tab and linksbehavior, search engines, fullscreen settings and more. So I did.hoping this upgrade would fix things. Simply install the plugin, restart Safari, and open Safari > Preferences.
Gah! So I went in search of the problem yet again. On the last tab youll find the settings for Glims. One such example is Glims a free plugin packed with useful features. Glims adds a cocktail of features to Safari (More Search Engines, Favicons in tab labels, Chrome bookmarks, Tabs and Bookmarks improvements, Dated download folders. Tried some things mentioned in some Mac forums without success. It’s not often I find a program or add-on that I immediately feel the need to tell people about, but I’m compelled to spread the word about Glims. Glims adds a cocktail of features to Safari (Tabs, Thumbnails, Full Screen, Search Engines, Search Suggestions, Forms autocomplete on, Dated download. Then one said to remove the SIMBL folder, which I did. Firefox is nice, but it's still kind of a memory hog, especially on my MacBook Pro and while I installed Google Chrome, I found it works better on my PC. On the Mac, Chrome gets sluggish if there's any animated gifs.like in my LJ sidebar. So I've been bouncing back & forth from Firefox and Chrome on the Mac during my Safari problem. Safari might not be pretty with fancy themes & stuff, but it's fast and (up until this upgrade) very reliable.
